SMALL MONOPRINTS

1992

These are a small sample of the work I produced during my time at SUNY Fredonia. During this time I began a very productive collaboration with Jack Gillespie, where we would float paint in a pool of water that we constructed, and would pull monoprints when the floating composition seemed right.  Either one of us made the call of when to pull the print, and at the end we split up the pieces.

Although most my work from that time was “purchased” by faculty or went “missing” from a locked storage, some of the smaller pieces survived. Most notably, a brown/black/green piece was acquired by José Darío Gutiérrez Pérez and Vicky Turbay.  Most of the pieces here depicted were shown as part of my solo show at Art Dialogue Gallery, Buffalo, NY in 1992.
